The ACM SIGITE Conference on Information Technology Education (SIGITE) occurs every year in October. In 2016 the conference will take place September 18th – October 1st. The conference generally runs mid-day Thursday through mid-day Saturday with pre-conference events occurring on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

Beginning in 2012 a companion conference – the Research in IT Conference (RIIT) – is held, coincident with the information technology education conference. One registration fee pays for both events.

Selected papers for the SIGITE conference address issues around teaching and learning (pedagogy) of IT, while those for the RIIT conference have a focus on IT research. Authors consist of IT faculty, professionals, as well as graduate and undergraduate students.
